Skrotligan / Liero Godot Classic / Afterglow — third-party notices

The gameplay algorithms in classic/ are a GDScript adaptation of the
OpenLiero/lierolibre lineage: worm/rope, weapons, particles, explosions,
level generation, materials, palette graphics, SimpleAI, RNG and match rules. The ai_*.gd files adapt
OpenLiero src/game/ai/predictive_ai.{hpp,cpp} and dijkstra.{hpp,cpp};
the threaded scheduling adapter is specific to this Godot port.
The tactical controller and trajectory selection in tactical_*.gd are new
Godot-specific behavior; their weapon data and navigation grid use the
attributed game data and pathfinding adaptation above.
The older scripts/ implementation also adapts movement and five weapons.
The user interface, input adapters, ENet protocol and Godot replay container
are new implementations. No native C++ engine is linked or run by the game.

The current gliptic checkout does not contain a root COPYING file. The BSD
notice above documents the shared OpenLiero/lierolibre code lineage; the full
lierolibre licensing/provenance document is included at
docs/reference/lierolibre-COPYING.txt. Later OpenLiero extension rules are
attributed to the pinned gliptic source, rather than presented as new work.

Original graphics and extracted game configuration:

Replacement sound recordings:
Copyright (c) 2012, "sea".
License: WTFPL version 2, as documented by lierolibre COPYING.
The historical proprietary/Molez-derived original LIERO.SND is not used.

Assets in assets/classic/ are converted from the pinned TC:
- Indexed TGA sprites and font are decoded losslessly to binary pixel atlases.
- Palette values preserve the original VGA six-bit channels.
- All weapon, fragment, effect and constant tables are imported to data.json.
- Legacy NUL menu line breaks are converted to newline for Godot strings.
- Replacement WAV PCM samples are preserved; RIFF headers are normalized.
- source-manifest.json records SHA-256 hashes of the upstream source assets.

Robot visual prototype (2026-10-28):
The images in assets/robots/ were generated with OpenAI ImageGen from the
project's selected robot concept. Exact prompts and source paths are recorded
in assets/robots/manifest.json and assets/robots/manifest-v2.json. The latter
records the sculpted terrain foreground and separate mine decorations.
assets/robots/manifest-shells.json records the generated spent metal casing.
The sprite rig, authored arena, terrain shader,
HUD and effects in robots/ are project-specific. This presentation uses the
attributed classic simulation and data; it does not replace their provenance.
The robot prototype uses the existing project's synthesized ArenaSound effects.

Desktop packages include the official Godot export runtime under the MIT
license. GODOT_NOTICES.txt in each package contains the engine's license and
third-party notices extracted from that runtime's matching editor version.
The local .tools/Godot.app is the official development editor.
